ROSE POULTRY AND PLANT ET TRÆ IN CLOSE COOPERATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE
Since 2021, ROSE Poultry has collaborated closely with the non-profit organization Plant et Træ (Plant a Tree). The collaboration has a long-term perspective, where we jointly build projects based on trees, children, and learning.
Every year, during a campaign period, we donate 1 Danish krone per sold tray of minced chicken for Plant et Træ. We do this because we believe it is important to take part in sustainable development and contribute to socially responsible activities.
Trees are a decorative part of nature. But they contribute to much more than that. They are a gift to the future and help for a better environment and climate.
How ROSE Poultry and Plant et Træ collaborate
So far, our collaboration with Plant et Træ has meant that we have built a number of orchards in kindergartens across the country. Here, trees, children, and learning come in a beautiful association. The children are involved in the planting, they receive learning material from the Nature School after which they receive a tree diploma, which they can proudly take with them.
In addition to the orchards, we have also collaborated with Plant et Træ to contribute to afforestation in the Danish countryside. This benefits both adults and children – and not least biodiversity. The trees absorb and store CO2 and serve as homes for both animals and plants.
What our initiatives have in common is that they all contribute to increased information about trees and their major impact on the environment and climate. The conclusion is clear: We need more trees. We are therefore pleased that we can continue our close collaboration with Plant et Træ both now and in the future.
1 Danish krone per tray sold
Consumers help to influence how much money goes to Plant a Tree each year.
Each year, ROSE Poultry donates 1 Danish krone per tray of minced chicken sold for a selected period to Plant et Træ.
We are incredibly happy for all those who buy our products during the campaign period and thus help support the good cause.
Who is Plant a Tree?
Plant et Træ is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to increase awareness of trees and their impact on the environment and climate. The organization has His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik as its patron and has planted more than 1.5 million trees in Denmark since 1988.
An important part of Plant et Træ's work also lies in passing on knowledge to the younger generations. This happens, among other things, via plant arrangements in day care facilities, where the children gain an understanding of the trees' conditions and their role in the ecosystem.
